In this course, students will learn the fundamentals of canvas stretching, along with practical solutions to common challenges encountered by artists, including re-tensioning, patching holes, un-stretching, and removing creases. Additionally, framing techniques and methods for hanging canvases will be covered.

This course will also include an introduction to other mounting mediums that can be used for works on canvas, paper, and more. It will give students a comprehensive understanding of the options available to present their artworks.

There will be a live demonstration and hands-on practical session, allowing students to personally stretch their own canvas provided to them. Each student will receive the necessary materials to stretch a 50 x 50 cm, 100% cotton primed canvas. Upon completion of the course, students can take their stretched canvas home, primed and prepared for their next creation. Additionally, each participant will receive a pair of new stretching pliers to take home as part of their course materials.
